- March 1, 2025: The total number of patent applications and utility model registration requests filed in 2024 was announced to be 311, 475. It shows 2.1% increase from the number of 2023.
- March 1, 2024: The total number of patent applications and utility model registration requests filed in 2023 was announced to be 305, 082. It shows 3.8% increase from the number of 2022.
- April 1, 2022: Regulation change for forbidding a miltiple dependency claim depending from miltiple dependency claims (so called, multi-multi claim) is in force today. New application that will be filed today or after cannot contain the multi-multi claim. The reguration change will not be applied to a divisional application from a parent application filed on or before March 31, 2022.
